crm CSC CONSONA
Previously known as Onyx, the CRM software publisher was acquired by Made2Manage (M2M Holdings) in 2006 and then in 2007 M2M changed its corporate name to Consona and relabeled the front-office solution Consona CRM. Consona CRM supports more than 1,550 middle market and enterprise clients in over 50 countries. While Consona CRM is largely known for its client/server horizontal CRM system, it also delivers vertical market solutions for the financial services, technology, professional services, healthcare, contact center, and public sector industries. The CRM system's primary customer market includes the Fortune 2000 or the Global 5000 and key customers include Amway Corporation, Mellon Financial Corporation, State Street Corporation, Regence Group and Riggs Bank.

crm ORACLE SIEBEL
With its 2005 acquisition of Siebel Systems for $5.85 billion, Oracle spawned a recurrence of its growth by acquisition strategy and purchased its way into a top CRM software market share position. When included with the PeopleSoft acquisition and its original CRM software product, Oracle is generally regarded as the global market share CRM software leader. While competitor SAP challenges that claim, independent analysts firms IDC, Datamonitor, Gartner and Forrester all publish statistics which support Oracle's lead in nearly all CRM categories.

crm SAP
Founded in Walldorf, Germany in 1972, SAP has become the world's largest ERP software company, however, despite its claims of the contrary, is generally regarded at the second place market share leader in the CRM software category (particularly when counting paying customers and not those customers who were provided the software at little or no charge where the CRM software often then become shelfware). Despite the varying statistical methods employed to measure market share in attempts to claim leadership (by both Oracle and SAP), SAP is a very formidable competitor to Oracle particularly in the public sector/government, distribution and manufacturing industries.
